  • 1.  Heads Up - Bartender Software may require contacting them only via email for licensing

I have an upgrade where Bartender software is in use, and it appears the only way to reach Bartender software is via online web form. This can be an issue if you need to move servers during the upgrade and require updating a license - just an FYI to plan for this and reach out to Bartender before the upgrade day.

I was just down this road in January.  Instead of waiting for Bartender (Seagull Scientific) to call me back, I called barcodefactory.com and ordered what I needed.  It may have cost a bit more. Beware of the version.  If you are using ODBC then there are 32 and 64 bit verisons of Bartender.  If Sage 100 is 32 bit then you need 32 bit Bartender.

@Doug Higgs RE 32 vs 64 - Even if you have the 64 ODBC installed?

Not sure.  It's picky though on version. For example my customer was running BT 2016 with Sage 100 v2021.  After I installed the product update compatible with the IRD then the ODBC was failing.  I had to upgrade BT to the second to the most recent release because the most recent release only had 64 bit available.

And if you are not on their active maintenance plan, they may suggest you enroll in a plan before obtaining updated keys.
