Have you integrated a phone system to Sage? One of my customers just asked me the question below. I advised that this is probably an integration to a CRM system rather than directly to Sage. Has anyone tackled something like this before? Good morning Wayne, I've got a question for you. I am planning on replacing the entire telephone system here at PFC sometime next year. I have been envisioning scenarios of application integration between the telephone system and MAS100. Is it possible when an existing customer calls PFC's main number that the telephone system uses caller ID to match the incoming telephone number to an existing customer account telephone number in MAS? When a match is found then the customer's MAS account automatically pops up on the computer screen. Is this something that is a possible reality within MAS? I do know that modern telephone systems on the market today offer application integration features I just don't completely understand how the telephone system and applications communicate at this point.

@PeterWolf ???? I think Sage would tell you that this is a feature of the CRM package. I can't imagine how Sage 100 would tackle it.

QGate Software has a product IntelliCTI. I believe this product uses either Microsoft TAPI or TSAPI protocol to communicate between the phone system and the database. I know it used to integrate with Sage CRM / Sage 100. I am reasonably sure @PeterWolf would know of this company.

A good company, and good products. As with any product, functionality is along a spectrum. With CTI, a customer needs to understand that any ""native"" CTI functionality advertised is not much more than dialing out from a computer. The functionality in IntelliCTI is much more. However, to get that functionality, the phone system/service must use the TAPI/TSAPI protocols. This will limit the phone vendors you use. That said, our VOIP vendor is TSAPI compliant, and it is pretty reasonably priced. http://www.qgatesoftware.com/products/intelli-cti/
