Have you had any customers with an older payroll that just want to keep it around for lookup purposes subscribe with the minimum # of employees? If so, are they still able to get into view all the prior history -- even if there are most than 10 employees? I know I had a customer go with Sage 100c and they elected not to subscribe and they were totally barred from going into Payroll -- even for lookup. My concern is that if a customer has 100 employees and all they want is to look at old historical info that they not be similarly barred unless they delete some employees. I don't think this is how it works but am curious if anyone has actually entered a subscription and can say for sure if you can still look at ll the prior employees - even if there are more in history than what you subscribed for.

I think it is based upon ""active"" employees. For those historical users we should be able to go with the minimum and make sure the employees are correctly flagged.

I'm hoping that I don't need to use VI to de-activate a range of employees

I was told that you only need to purchase the lowest tier (up to 10 employees) in order to be able to view the history.

Take a copy of MAS90 and set the copy to use the old keys?

I have a client who has many archive companies and Sage told them only the employees that have a check processed count and it's been working fine for that client.
