Have I overlooked a way for a customer to add a new UDF to a table -- for example SO Entry -- and have it show up automatically (without a panel reset on each workstation). For example a customer uses about a dozen UDFs on Sales Order Entry. They tailor each of their customer service screens (position of UDF) so that the looks is identical. Now if I add a new UDF the only way I've seen to flow this to every screen is to: a. Add to the panel via Customizer b. Reset each individual panel which also changes the field order and forces each user to manually rearrange their screen. Yes, this might be a WAD but in a high volume marketplace -- such as where MAS is designed to play -- it seems a little odd that such old fashioned tech is required as visiting each workstatoin to manually reset this.

I HOPE you've overlooked something...because that means I have too and there's a better solution out there.

I went through about 12 workstations and manually adjusted field positions. Once you reset a panel the fields move all over. No idea why this was left so sloppy.

@WayneSchulz I am wonder if you run the Customizer Utility to update screens to the current level if that would take care of it. I might give it a try myself because I have had the same issue you have. It is a PITA and should not be a WAD.

I sorta tried that. It will come back and indicate that there are no panels to update. I was also wary of hosing other panels unintentionally. This seems like an odd thing to overlook though quite honestly I find with a lot of Sage's add-ons like Custom Office it's usually wham, bam , thanks you ma'am and they're on to the next piece of gloss and stop upgrading or enhancing their prior ""features"".

Can anyone identify more than one enhancement that has been brought to a v2.0 release? I don't think there are many.

@WayneSchulz I totally agree, Custom Office and Paperless are good 'gloss' modules and have great potential, unfortunately they fall short of being great...for example I can email invoices, orders, etc using Paperless, but if my server authentication requires SSL for outbound email then I am SOL and have to have an add-on to work around that. I just can't believe they won't update that feature...I have been asking for it for 2+ years.

Why would you be customizing 12 screens and not just one screen for the customer service group?

Paperless should have the same options in AP as it does in AR (ability to send to multiple addresses), Would be nice to edit the message template in all circumstances if you desired. How about a send log feature. The list goes on. Instead of keeping the good help to make the product great, they get put out to pasture. In there place are a bunch of newbies that can only read from a marketing script...............

@DawnAnastasi If there's a secret to adding a UDF to an already customized set of screens I'd like to learn it. I had to rebuild the panel in order for a newly created UDF to appear on the screen - and from there it required rebuilding individually.

And I had created this for a customization for all users / all companies.

Are you talking about a UDF on the header of SO entry, or on the lines tab?
