Have an import into ROG for a client. Worked fine on the first PO. On the next one, keep getting a message that says the Line Order has already been written. I thought I was able to recreate on my machine by having an input file with fewer serial number lines than qty received, because once I put in enough lines it started working. Called client back (ta da!), but that wasn't their issue. We even tried a different PO and still get the same message. Any ideas? It looks like it's trying to do an L line for each T line, when it should be doing 1 L and 200 Ts. Something in this item, maybe?????

Send me an email and I can send you an import that works for you to take a look at - kevin@lehmanwesley.com

OK, finally found what the issue was. Their serial numbers were bigger than 15. I had created a UDF to handle the overflow. HOWEVER, I could not turn off Truncation in order to GET to those extra characters - even though I imported into a temp field and then did a MID calculation to get the serial number, it just would not work. So we're keeping our fingers crossed that the vendor doesn't dupe the first 15 char of their serial numbers.

DSD has a 30 character serial number enhancement now. Save your self the grief and have them get it. $2k with first year maintenance is worth it in the long run to avoid the problems. http://www.dsdinc.com/enhancement/ciel-extended-lotserial-numbers-2/

That's so funny - I had looked for that when we first ran into this issue and they had nothing. Then less than a week later I got an email about their new products!

Yeah, would have saved us a ton of work and altered processes a couple years ago on a roll out. Back then they ballparked development for us at over $10k, if I remember correctly.
