Have a new Windows 7 workstation. When installing Sage 100 Advanced v4.3 got message that MFC40.dll file did not register. Did register it in the syswow64 folder. When we try to run it (tried as user and as admin), we get the attached ""Error 46 Length of string invalid."" Any ideas? TIA

Are you able to run it in Mas90 mode? - could it be a permissions issue? The newer systems seem to have super strict rights.

Ron, just asking and I assumed you dis this though did you run workstation setup with a r/click and run as Administrator? You may also change the icon properties to always run as Administrator I believe.

Thanks Ron, yes I r/c and ran as administrator. Going to rename sessions, locate, console, and workstation files this afternoon after everyone is done to see if that helps. thanks.

Very frustrating trying to ""help"" the client by installing old software on new OS. I wasted three hours back in June doing the same thing working with WiN 7 and v4.3. Make sure you have installed all the patches that were released for 64 OS. What type of admin user were you. I always insist on the domain admin, not a local equivalent. Painful.....

Thanks @JeffSchwenk. Tried it as the domain admin and tested in both Advanced and MAS90 mode. Same error. Will check on patches though. Thanks!

Thanks all for your replies. renaming the sessions, locate, console, and workstation files did the trick. Thanks.
