Have a customer with FRx 6.711027 who cannot open it. It flashes then disappears. I found this on the old KB but no one can access it to rebuild the database. http://infosource.sagesoftwareonline.com/infasp/kdb.asp?isresolutionconceptid=490201 Thoughts?

I just had this issue last week! The way I got around it was to install FRx 6.7.11027 on my system (7 pro 64 ) and change the location of the SYSdata folder in the company information, not the Admin area. That let me open it, export it and import it to the customer's system.

I should clarify this was a new install after the customer's system was wiped out by virus. You may have to get a clean install and brand new SYSdata folder to have the same results.

How did you import it in the customer's system if you can't open it??

I found that the flashing and disappearing only happened when I tried to link the new installation to the existing SysData folder, so importing the spec set to a clean SysData folder was the way I got around it.

There are two locations where the SYSDATA is stored. One is in FRXconfig.xml (local) and the other is on the server/shared FRX folder in the SYSTEM.CFG. One issue I've seen is that the SYSTEM.CFG has a ""move to"" section where every time someone logs in it modifies the location of SYSDATA whether you like it or not. The only way I've found to fight it is to change both files.

Well, I mucked around with substitute files then restored the Sysdata directory from a backup. I did however, rename the frxconfig.xml that both @WayneSchulz and @JoanSerr 's link referred to and we are now set. Thanks much!!!
