Have a customer using option bills with option int

Have a customer using option bills with option interactions. They make knitted cuffs, e.g. for sports jackets. The main bill is a specific style with no components. There are 3 options - size, color and stripe. None of the option bills have components either. It is only the option interactions that have the yarn component(s). Here's the deal - the option interactions for one bill/style calls for .029 lbs of yarn per bill but when you enter a work order for it, it comes out as .057 lbs per bill. So does a component requirement report. I can't figure it out. No scrap or yield percentages. @DebThomas @BethBowers what am I missing?

The only thing I can think of is an EACH unit of measure somewhere screwing things up by rounding up.

    Which version and PU?

Oops, sorry. 4.3 not sure which PU. I looked at the units of measure and they are both lbs which is not an integer u/m. No u/m conversions either.

Is it possible the line component is entered twice in the BOM?

Nope, verified the bill - it only has the .029 lbs of yarn in the option interactions. Main bill has no components, option bills have no components, only the option interaction bill.

Seeing as it's 4.3, there's a good chance it's a bug. Have you contacted Sage to inquire?

No, I haven't but it appears it is only with this ONE style. I'm thinking there has to be something somewhere, something I just can't see. A phantom entry somewhere? I rebuilt the bill header file and analyzed and relinked the bill detail file, even ran the bill validation report which thinks they are all invalid as they have no components.

What happens if you run the Bill Validation report - does it show up there? What does the costed BOM report show?

I have had issues in the past with strange things if there are not any components - what happens if you add a /C to the component detail.

Hmm, all of their bills are like this though. They only need to include the yarn based on color, size and whether or not they are striped (in which case, there are two yarns in the option interaction bill).

If all of their bills are setup with no components, then no, doesn't sound like that's it.
