Have a customer on v2015 PU2 who scans in the barcodes for new items as a general item alias. They then scan the items into shipping data entry. For some reason, one item will not scan into shipping D/E. It says, ""Invalid Item Code."" Not sure what's different for this item. They other items from this vendor that work correctly and the aliases are similar. Any thoughts? I've had them delete the alias, rescan it in and create new SO's, same result.

Is there a special character printing before/after the item? I was troubleshooting a zebra printer not printing readable labels and noticed before some items there was a special character (I printed without the barcode font to make sure it was sending the correct item code on a whim). Maybe try changing back to a readable font and see if it looks odd? Or copy the part with a 1 at the end and see if it reads the new part?

Perhaps that is an alias for another customer/vendor/item

Wow, thanks @RobertWhite that was it. There was another item with the same alias and it comes before the actual item alpha-numerically so when they scan it, if it isn't on the order, it is invalid!!!

Try scanning into an Excel cell??? Is the number larger than usual? Perhaps the BC field needs to be expanded.
