Have a client with MAS backed up onto a flash drive. Attempting to run MAS from there with a shortcut on his desktop. Keep getting Invalid Activation key. Usually that's a network permissions thing, but this is a personal laptop with no network connection. He was able to add and delete a folder in the Home/LIB/KEYS folder. What's the secret, or can't you run it from a flash drive?

You may want to try renaming the activate.pvx file and reinstalling to the flash drive

I would try copying it from the Flash to the laptop, and see if you're able to run it that way.

I was hoping there was a secret to flash drives, but if they have to copy it to the hard drive, oh well. We didn't actually install to the flash drive in the first place, just copied. And then I manually created the shortcut. I get the same error when running pvxwin32 from the home folder, so I know it's not the shortcut.

Make sure all files on the flash drive are not read-only. I had one that really wanted them to be read-only.
