Have a client with a pretty simple custom report in payroll. Doesn't use any udfs, runs from payroll history file. They have 2 companies. The report runs fine from one, and in the 2014 backup of the other one. But in the live second company, it craps out with an error 88 SY_ReportEngine line 658. If you go into Printer Setup before printing (and just Accept, don't make any changes), you get ""Unable to view....blah blah.... Invalid Index"" instead of the error 88. And when I copied the report out there again and it tried to convert in the bad company, I got the lovely ""The following error has occurred... No error"" message. I've looked through a bunch of SY_Report..... fields in SY_System but can't find any record that is company specific for the report. And it errors for different users, so it's not user-specific. Help! And hey, by the way - I noticed something as i was trying to search for the ""Following error.. No error"" that I knew someone just recently had. IF you send out a message in this forum about an error but you don't write out the error in the body - you just attach a picture - we can't search for it later.

Sorry, that was me I think. The error was just too funny to pass up. I don't think i ever resolved it either. Wasn't an important report if I recall.

You aren't the only one, @ThereseLogeais . I never would have given it a second thought if I hadn't been looking for it and remembered the layout of the posting. But since you never resolved it, your posting isn't going to help anyway.... :-(

Did you look at SY_ReportSetting? Found a post by Wayne that talks about bad values being stored there.

line 658 is running a Crystal function to get the Printer's duplex parameter(?) and it can't seem to find it. Let me know if you would like me to remote onto your workstation to help you resolve it.

@MarcosDeLuna - I'll probably take you up on that - any reason you can see it would be one company only?
