    Have a client with 30+ companies. He wants to restrict access for ONE company to ONE module, but allow users to full access in all other companies. Is there a way for user maintenance to deny access to one but allow all others? List each company individually for each user is the only thing that comes to mind. Group customization?? I am not seeing it. Perhaps network security limiting access to the module data files? Thanks in advance.

    Option 1 - provide info to IT how to manage permissions - possibility of strange errors if a work file program or report uses multiple module files $150 Option 2 - train a staff member or temp what to do for manual entry $375 Option 3 - you'll take care of all of it $1500 (and you hire a temp for $100-200 to do the work)

    Sounds like listing all the companies individually for each user is the way to go. You can then use the Copy button to help automate the setup but it appears you'd have to first rename the existing Logon's and then re-create the ones you renamed in order to get access to the Copy button.

    Not sure but what if you assigned each user a role with full rights for ALL COMPANIES and then added the restricted company with a lesser role. Will the lesser role for the restricted company override the other role as it is more restrictive. Worth a shot.

    Couldn't you have one role for the one company that is restricted to the one module? Even if they have a role set up for All Companies, wouldn't the one specific role for that one company override it?

    @ThereseLogeais Great minds think alike.

    Doesn't look like it. Set myself up as Admin on my own system for all companies, then setup a second role TEST with no access to anything for ABC company. I can still get into anything in ABC.

    I initially had the exact same thought as @CooperBlack and @ThereseLogeais, but it didn't work when I tried it (as @BethBowers already mentioned).

    ...unless there's some other neat trick.

    Remember the old security, which really stunk for the most part? I'm pretty sure if you had a more restrictive company-specific security setting for a user, it would override the more lenient one.
