Have a client using FRx (yeah I know). I am trying to install on Windows 10 (told it will work). When attempting to install I get ""The current version of the application could not be determined. The setup will now terminate."" I saw a similar about a registry change on the forum. Can't see where that would apply here. Let me know if I am wrong.

WAG: set compatibility settings before running the installer

At windows XP, it did not solve the issue. I am running this from a ISO as a Virtual Clone Drive.

I had the same issue yesterday. I got around it by installing the 6.74 CD not the 6.78 CD. Do you need a copy of it? there seems to be an issue with installshield. Thank god for a big library of images!!!

It flickered at the same spot then moved right along. Interesting.

I am happy I found a work around. The options didn't look good.

My son is shadowing me and he said, ""how often do you get this stuck?"" Thank you so much to both of you. Jim, you are my hero!

What made you decide to use an earlier version?

@LarryBradford - Was today take your son to work day? Are you grooming him as your succession plan bail out?

Something like that. He is 20 and ready to take on the world. He is finishing his junior year at Liberty.

Bring him to MOTM...there's nothing like an education experience from industry veterans.

@LarryBradford , he's 20, so this would be a good time for you to shadow him while he still knows everything!

@JimWoodhead - once you installed the 6.74, did you upgrade it with the 6.78 and then SP12 or did you put SP12 on the 6.74?

Yes I installed SP 11 after the 6.7.4 install. You don't need to install 6.7.8
