    Have a client that is on 2016 sp 1 and just upgraded to windows 10 and 2 of the machines paperless will not display unless they have the Acrobat Reader DC open first. It does create the paperless document but will not display for them to see it first. We have reinstalled, run under admin, printer is set up properly..... The one machine that is working had been upgrade to windows 10 before I upgraded their Sage 100 (450) to 2016 and it was working like the other 2 are now. You had to open Adobe first. Now that they are on 2016 his is working.... Makes no sense !!!! Any thoughts or suggestions would be appreciated. TIA

    Windows 10 changes the default PDF viewer to Microsoft Edge. You'll need to change the default viewer to Adobe. Changing the Default PDF Viewer in Windows 10 1. Click on Start Menu > Settings > System > Default Apps 2. Scroll down and select 'Choose default Apps by file type' 3. Scroll down and look for .pdf on the left side, click on 'Microsoft Edge' to select, once 'Choose an app' popup opens, select the application you want to set as default to open PDF file type, done.

    1.Open the Settings app. 2.Go to the following page: Settings -> Devices -> Printers and Scanners. 3.See the option named ""Let Windows manage my default printer"". Turn it off

    Update - the IT person had already changed that,so still not working on 2 machines. I told them it is user rights issue since it is working for one user and if we sign in as local admin and network admin it works. She is telling me that they all have the same rights. Ugh so frustrating !

    As a quick check have you tried to click and open a PDF outside of Sage 100 while logged into the network as one of the users experiencing the issue?

    Yes and no issues. If we open the PDF software then go inside of Sage - the Journal will display correctly but only when the PDF software is open. If you go into Paperless and try and print one of the documents it won't open unless we have the PDF software open first.

    If you uninstall Adobe and install a different PDF reader does it work correctly?

    Drop a non-Sage PDF somewhere on the machine, go to file explorer, double click that PDF without any PDF viewer being open. What happens?

    Adobe works fine outside of Sage - paperless. They have tried to uninstall Adobe and reinstall again but still not working. If we make MS Edge the default pdf viewer it will work with Edge. So that is what they are going to do on the 2 machines that wouldn't work originally.
