Have a client that is interested in having the Vendor Price information available to select/specify the cost for quotes. The client uses JobOps and needs to be able to develop Quotes based on pricing from the Vendor (and the discount tiers). Contacted Synergistic and they say there's nothing available nor programmable to do this. So, trying to think outside the box. Any ideas?

Deb, do they want to just see the vendor info or automate the pricing based on it?

They want to be able to change the component's cost based on the qty break they'll be quoting the parent item to their Customer.

What about using Vendor alias' and Vendor pricing to accomplish this?

Dan, Mryon, Dawn or other scripting geniuses should be able to develop a script to do it.

Part of the problem with jobops is it's 'half' business framework. In various strategic places UDF's and scripting and screen customization isn't available.

Interesting! Do they outsource their coding to Sage? A huge frustration when things aren't consistently done across all modules. I ran into this wih v4.2 when trying to do creative things with the SO packing list WRK file. The damn thing didn't support UDF's!

I was at a JobOps VAR meeting around the time 4.0 came out. They asked us if we thought it would be better for 4.1 to redo it as part of Sales Order (and other modules) or break it out as its own separate module. We were almost if not completely unanimous in voting for #2. Guess what they did? They have only converted to the framework what they absolutely had to with each version.
