Have a client running v2016 STD. They recently have started experiencing weird processing issues (below) when she is the only one on the system. Plus her paperless DD advices take forever. My plan A is to run the PR from server console until we can move to 100 Cloud advanced. When she does this, there are no weird issues plus the DD emailing finishes in less than 10 minutes. Everything is MUCH faster. However, going to the IT department is not convenient. So I recommended an RDP connection but IT is balking at this because they are unaware of how to grant access without giving her full admin privileges. This is beyond my pay grade as I leave it up to IT to make it happen. So the big question is it possible to give a network user RDP access to the server without elevated security rights. She just needs access to the Sage folders. TIA.

If it's NOT a domain controller, then sure, they can set her up with the Log On Locally user rights assignment (https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/security/threat-protection/security-policy-settings/allow-log-on-locally). They still may need to spend some time securing any files that she shouldn't have read or write access to, but full admin permissions are not required. If it is a domain controller (which is officially not a supported platform for Sage 100), then they're right, she'll need Admin rights.
