Have a client on EES 1.3, wanting to upgrade to verion 4.5. Has anyone upgraded a client directly between these two versions, or do we have to take them to EES 1.4 first and upgrade their CRM to version 7?

I think MAS should be OK direct, but CRM definitely needs a stop at version 7.0 before 7.1.

If they have any level of customizations in Sage CRM, you shoudl do a trial upgrade. The jump to 7.0 and then to 7.1 was not as smooth as it could have been. Let me / all of us know if you run into problems.

Also remember to grab the script that was posted here to disable the triggers before the 7.0 to 7.1 upgrade, and then enable them when done.

According to the Upgrading/Migrating certification course, EES users must be at 1.40 to upgrade (can do either in-place or parallel). So apparently you'd have to upgrade to 1.40 first in order to then upgrade to 4.5. And for SageCRM, you have to first be at 7.0 in order to go to 7.1. Also fyi, I don't believe you have to disable those Triggers if going from 6.2 to 7.0.
