Have a client on 4.5.6 who has recently been exper

Have a client on 4.5.6 who has recently been experiencing issues with sales orders getting out of balance when changes are made to the Lines. This has happened not just once or twice, but several times a DAY. I don't see anything on the KB or in any fixes. Has anyone else have a client experience this?

One workstation or all of them. 90 or 200? Are they editing a saved order or editing one that has not been saved yet? Are they moving off the line before closing tab three? Are they exiting from tab four? Are they clicking on the accept button or clicking on the X in the corner....

Or are the screens modified? UDF's on lines?

Don't forget to check for User Defined Scripts on the Sales Order Header and Detail. Also, is the customer using any of the new custom pricing enhancements that were introduced with 4.5?

I have been running into multiple issues lately with data being dropped on entry screens, where resetting the screen made a difference.

Thanks, everyone - will be doing some checking on all of this and see what I can find.

Can you make it happen at will?

Sorry - I've been out and haven't gotten back to this, but also haven't heard any more horror stories from the client. I'll be checking in today to see what's up.

@DougJenkins What would be an example of how a UDS could affect an order's balance? I though the business object interface protected read-only fields as well as those directly dependant on others. A PVX script would be an exception.

Dan, you are correct. But hey if the BOI is doing its job why is an ""occassional"" sales order out of balance. My first thought was something custom. A UDS is easy to check. Or a remote bug with a new 4.5 pricing feature.

This was an issue when clients would not delete a SO line detail but make an edit to the line instead. The line is written to history so making an edit doesn't create a new record and the existing record only updates the one field modified by the user. Check the client's process in SO editing. They should be deleting the unwanted line and adding a new one. Also make sure renamed files are not present or improperly renamed with the file extension. They pulled my article from the web (several times)that contains warning about alternate data sources and renamed files being stored in the shared path. Hope this helps.

I would look at tax classes and tax schedules. Also reset the screen.
