Have a client on 4.4 SU4 & related JobOps version. It takes an hour and a half to load an order for invoicing. They are on 200 xt and system response, in a word, sucks. Any ideas?

Reboot the server, how much disk space do they have, what about the AV settings. How many users are active? Running as a service or application? How long does it take to load the invoice at the system console? Is it a slug at other workstations? Inquiring minds are here for you............

Here are the answers to your questions oh inquiring mind: 1. How much disk space is available on the server where MAS is loaded? C; Fixed NTFS 23.4GB 17.6GB 41.0GB D: Fixed NTFS 34.4GB 57.7GB 92.2GB Data 2. Is the server MAS only or is it used for other applications? If yes, what applications? jobops Crystal reports 3. What are the Antivirus settings? They have standard AVG installation, profile of MAS which has the following exclusions: D:\mas200 D:\mas90 D:\sage 4. How many users are active during the day when an invoice is loaded? Approx 20-22, depending on time of day 5. Is MAS200 running as a service or application? Application 6. How long does it take to load the invoice at the system console? The more lines on the sales order the longer it takes. That's why we've limited the sales orders to one each sales order. With just the one line item it's fairly quick to load the invoice. 7. Is loading an invoice a slug at other workstations? Yes, all stations. I have a brand-spanking new workstation and the jobs 17972 and 18004 are slower than a slug's grandmother in a puddle of molasses. Other users workstations and an empty station perform the same way.

How big is their SO detail file? What does the Job Ops Tech person say? So when you run the process from the server console, it is equally slow?

From a MAS 200 4.5 upgrade yesterday, noticed it was taking about 5 minutes to pull up an Invoice from A/R Invoice History - from both a workstation and the server. This was a new server so I had them exclude the entire MAS 90 folder from AV protection, and we rebooted the server. Problem resolved.

Isn't it common practice to remove Sage (MAS) data files from AV protection? it was one of the things I noticed. And I believe they have excluded MAS from AV (at least that's how I read their response). @JeffSchwenk They have a significant amount of lines in detail.
