Sage 100

Have a client on 100 Advanced 4.5 and I and another user (we both use RDP to access) can not BROWSE to find a file when using VI (or DFDM for that matter). Actually, I misspoke. We can browse, but when you select it, it blanks out in MAS. Another person connecting directly can browse. ??????? This did not start with any upgrade, just started out of the blue, so I'm thinking network something, but that's beyond me.

sure sounds like network permissions. Can you login to RDP as Administrator to remove any question of Windows limitations?

Actually, I always login as Administrator. :-(

Is the file on the network or on the TS box you're logging into?

The TS box I'm logging into - in one case I had the file for VI saved on the Desktop and had to manually type in the whole desktop path. It will find and run with it if you manually type it in - it just keeps freaking disappearing if you browse. Ditto with actual MAS files. Also, I tried it in MAS90 mode and it did the same thing.

Can the MAS server see the location on the TS box? You could try saving it to a shared location on the network and use UNC to browse to it. The Sage 100 Advanced will be looking for the file from the MAS server but the browse is showing from your workstation (aka the TS box).

Also WAG - what is the account used to login the service/server - had similar issue one time with an account that wasn't a domain admin and the server couldn't see the other server (or somesuch) -- I'd have to pull my notes as Alnoor provided some good detail about the issue.

@WayneSchulz - that was kind of why I ran it as MAS90, to hopefully eliminate anything re that.
