Has anyone used Control Numbers on W-2's this year? We are helping someone file, and box d is not in the grid, and if we go through the steps it is (according to the KB) supposed to pop up a questionnaire about Control numbers and what you want to use, but it never popped up. Any thoughts on what we are missing? I have been through the wizard 3 times making sure the ""use control numbers"" box is checked.

I'm not sure but I'm wondering if it's something that doesn't show up during the test drive but only when you do it live?

Good thought, but we went all the way through on the live as well.

When the using Control numbers is marked 'Yes' In the list of 5 Y/N questions in the wizard, you are much later in the process asked how you want to populate the field. You are n ot prompted until AFTER selecting which forms you want to print.

@MichellePage that is what I thought, but even after selecting to print all the forms, the box never popped up.We managed to get through printing everything... all the way to the reconciliation forms. No control numbers.

Have you installed the 2014IRD?

Ooooh... good thought. Maybe not. I will double check that.

@MichellePage that must have been it. I reinstalled the 2014IRD and we have control numbers. Thank you for the suggestion!
