Has anyone upgraded a client to 2015 who is importing into payroll? There appears to be an issue with the perform logic. When I import in 2015 the PR8 records are not getting created! The perform logic is the same (program names are the same - obviously the programming behind them are not). Has anyone else run into this?

Have a client that imports to payroll migrated from 2014 to 2015 in June with no issues.

Did you just upgrade the import, or create a new one?

We just upgraded the import, nothing out of the ordinary during the process.

Can you try exporting the VI job from the old version, then importing it into 2015? Maybe the migration just didn't pull everything over?

I upgraded to 2015 PU#1 for a client that pulls time from Kronos. I used one of the available VI imports from SAGE and made a few changes. No real issues. Happy to share my VI import if that will help.

I think I'm going to create it from scratch (it's not all that complex) and see what happens. Glad to know that you are on pu1, @MichaelMcDonald , since that is what they are on.

OK, I think I've found it. (I didn't originally create this so wasn't aware until I started to RECREATE it...) This payroll run is for some 1099 employees (that they do through payroll for some reason) and it looks like pre-2015 you could do an import and say Yes to Manual Taxes and then not import any taxes and it would work with everyone having 0 taxes. But in 2015, if you have manual taxes set to Yes, looks like you darned well had better have a tax import then or the file doesn't get created. Interesting. So now I think we should probably just change all of the employees to have an override of 0 instead of manual taxes no, but I'll talk to the client about it tomorrow.

Amazing how they won't improve PR but they certainly are able to bust a perfectly good kudgy product without even trying....
