Sage 100

Has anyone tried the old hidden utility *unhideGL in SAGE 100c STD version 2018? This utility gives back access to the old ""Custom Financial Reporting"" menu in the General Ledger module. I know it still works in SAGE 100c version 2017.

All our 2018 has been Premium and that does NOT have it, but I'm not sure about Standard/Advanced.

I just ran it in 2018 and it does work!

Thanks @DavidOverholt .. I just told an off-plan client it would.. until we get SAGE Intelligence up and running.

Might be a little underhanded, but I just say it is not available and leave it at that. Only one client has ever called me out on it. Another way to speed adoption of SI.

@JeffSchwenk I started doing that back at version 2015. It was an honest mistake at first, but I kept doing it even after I found out that the old custom financials still work. Am I a bad person for not feeling bad about it?

Good question - Am I a bad person for never bothering to learn custom financials in the late 90"" as a controller? I delegated that chore to an assistant. Then when I became a reseller, I dug into FRx and found that was far easier and superior to custom financials. The custom financials were a great DOS tool through the late 90's. But just like DOS, it is time to move on. Life is way to short!
