Has anyone tested the method by which 2013 and 2014 co-exist on the same server ? Primarily I'm wondering about test upgrades where the prior best practice has been to run them side by side - and in many cases setup the new version icon on the user desktop for testing. I spotted this in Sage City regarding the setup of a test 2014 system. Although it's not specified I think it's on a Sage 100 ERP Advanced 2014 system. via Sage City: http://sagecity.na.sage.com/support_communities/sage100_erp/f/98/p/74355/218903.aspx#218903 Effective with Sage 2013 ERP, I know that you can install only once copy of 2013 on a machine. With the release of Sage 2014 ERP, I successfully installed it on my server in a parallel installation so that I could test and play. All is cool and works well at the server. Unfortunately when I tried to do a workstation install, I got : ""Another version of this product is already installed. Installation of this version cannot continue. To configure or remove the existing version of this product, use Add/Remove Programs on the Control Panel."" My research so far has turned up nothing about this. This would be a death knell for doing a parallel upgrade and doing proper due diligence testing before going live. Normally during a test upgrade, you need access to both the old and new version of the software. Test in the new, continue to do live work in the old. Anyone know anything that I haven't found yet. Have a hard time believing that this could have been missed in testing.

There has also been some information indicating more than one copy of Sage 100 ERP 2014 cannot be run per server - even if the server is virtualized. Still looking to see some real world testing to verify that.

FWIW, I have MAS 200 4.4 & 4.5 and Sage 100 Advanced 2013 and 2014 on the same machine without issues so far. I must have hit Premium when installing 2014. It seems to run fine but I'll need to remove that and start over to get Advanced.

I just removed 2014 Premium so I could install 2014 Advanced. Restarted Install and made sure I chose Advanced. It goes back to installing Premium and the menu where I chose Advance is still on the screen in the background with the proper choice. Has anyone else installed Advanced? And I still don't see a download in the partner portal.

@JohnBroadfoot Make sure you are using the right unlocking codes. I found that the codes determine which version is installed, even if you choose otherwise.

@JohnBroadfoot I don't see it if I log in using URL partners.sagenorthamerica.com, but I do if I use this URL: https://support.na.sage.com

That's what 300 has had for a long time and it seems that a 300 person is in charge of the 100 installer since 2013.

Thanks for the replies. @BillPfahnl, I can't believe I actually thought the menu would have anything to do with it or that the comment that the codes didn't change was actually true. I just used the codes I have been using for Advanced. Silly Me. I am sure you are correct. It didn't mention Premium until I got to the Software Choice screen just after entering the unlocking codes. Currently, I am wading through the roughly 300 product lines to find the Sage 100 Advance group and get new codes. @ BarbaraGoldstein, I went to support.na.sage.com, chose Sage 100 ERP, next chose Sage 100 ERP 2014. I got what's popular and support resources which included a bunch of Sage 50 stuff. Then I saw the search bar. I entered Sage 100 ERP 2014 Download and received the famous No Documents Match. I thought, well, even though I am logged in to the portal, I should login. I clicked the login prompt and got taken back to a new, but logged in, session of the partner portal on the portal home screen. @JeffSchwenk, I think one of Wayne's screen shots said the codes were supposed to be the same. It also said your codes would unlock the version you own and we have all three. I did a second download from Wayne's link and it isn't any different. Will try some new keys.

FWIW, our unlocking keys are the same for Advanced and Premium. Our Activation keys are different; however, the one for Premium is currently running our Advanced 2013. I have used the Advanced activation key and it now installing 2014 Advanced. Thanks again for all the help.
