Sage 100

Has anyone taken a look at ACS's Warehouse Automation product. We have one client that WO alone is not enough and Job Ops is too much and this seems like a really cool product. They sent me our reseller copy so I will be testing it but it has a lot of really nice features and doesn't require multi-bin. For clients that do not require the sophistication of what JobOps offers, I highly recommend the ACS automation package. It has been well designed and strengthens the WO module features. We have one customer using this, plus some other enhnancements from ACS (in-transit between warehouses) and another has used it for a year, but is now converting to JobOps due to new requirements.

Another product you should investigate in conjunction with Warehouse automation is WO Scan by JDB Solutions group. Together they make a killer combo. I watched a demo of WO Scan last week and I kept having to put my socks back on!!!! You won't even recognize the old worn out WO module!!!!!

No sales of WO without WO Automation...that's my motto :) And I second taking a look at WOScan...the two products together make WO sing.

I have to agree with all the above comments. . It is a great product. My clients are very happy with it too. It's the way work order should of been written in the first place. To bad work order isn't business framework.

@DebThomas Interesting comment could you elaborate on the issues? Another observation that I have a customer suspect using WO Scan w/ACS and seems to be working well - or if it's not I'm not hearing about it.

@WayneSchulz - I think it is all about the user interface. The WO module is just NOT user friendly at all. The ACS product provides a LOT of slick features that almost makes you forget that this is a Sage product. The WO scan product takes the interface a giant leap forward and you completely forget that this is a Sage product. Now if they would only put it into the BF....

@WayneSchulz - what @JeffSchwenk said. :) You know that WO is a pain from an interface/transaction/processing perspective. WO Automation and WOScan take those issues out of play. Well worth a look at least - once you see them in action, the benefits are clear. And while I'm a big JobOps fan, I think there are places where this combination may be a better solution and that does include make to order.
