Has anyone set up Direct Deposit with Umpqua Bank? I am switching a client from Kissinger to the regular Sage direct deposit in V2018 Standard. The reps at Umpqua cannot provide specs on what they need and every test file so far (about 8) have failed. Any help appreciated.

Regrettably, I have NEVER found a bank that actually knew how their DD worked. Working with one now that keeps saying contact my software support person. Umm, I AM the software support person and I need information about YOUR specs. Going on the second week now. Doesn't the Kissinger options offer any hint?

Had a similar thing with Santander a few years back. The people we initially dealt with had no concept of direct deposit.

I would suggest opening a file Kissinger created in Notepad and use that as your template. I am enclosing a JP Morgan file specification in the hope it will help.

@JaneCavanaugh, I actually need to set up JP Morgan posi-pay for a client. Do you happen to know the 'as of' date of that doc? Or is it specific to direct deposit?

I believe it is specific to direct deposit.

I have had several big banks tell me they want a standard NACHA file, so that is where I start. Can they tell you what record is failing? or why your files are failing? Have you tried talking to their IT people rather than a Personal Banker Person?
