Has anyone seen/used a beta copy of the framework version of Time Card? I see it on the roadmap as being a March release but haven't heard anything about any testing opportunities like there were with the Payroll upgrade.

They haven't made it available for beta testing to my knowledge, but I am part of a group where they have provided documents with screen shots and workflow to review and comment on.

They basically indicated they were rushing through it so fast there wouldn't be time for beta testing. Make what you will of that.... Tomorrow we're supposed to see it work or at least see screen shots.

So, now TC releases and the PR / TC users still wait for one or two product updates until they determine that it's safe to upgrade payroll. By then it's calendar year-end so they wait further into 2019 to upgrade payroll. Any bets on what the installed payroll count is at the next MOTM?

@BethBowers ""they were rushing through it so fast there wouldn't be time for beta testing."" I got a good laugh out of this. They have been ""rushing"" to get TC to framework for 7 or 8 years.

Oh, but that was ""theoretical"" rushing before, @DougHiggs . Like originally it was supposed to be out with the payroll 2.0, but then they totally put it aside and didn't do a darned thing with it until, oh, about a month or so ago.

I found some humor in the fact that they don't even know the lucky firm that will be rewriting WO but they are expecting to release it with v2019 this fall...

Hard to believe a software company would say ""we're rushing it so fast there isn't time for beta testing"". Especially given that the rush is caused by Sage not getting the RFP out and approved in a timely manner - it's not like they didn't know this was coming. Appreciate the feedback from everyone, sounds like I should be preparing to upgrade all of our clients as soon as this fine piece of software gets released.......

Following this discussion. I have a client with PR, JC and TC that is asking about it.

From discussion at MOTM, I got the distinct impression that it was being broken into separate pieces. Did anyone else get that impression?

Yes, the payroll part will be found in payroll and the job cost will be found in job cost. There won't really be a TimeCard module, as such.

The really cool part will be the TimeCard Mobile, if it ever comes out.

TimeCard Mobile is due out in the June release, I wonder if Sage has the RFP out yet??

Their timeline indicates Timecard (now Time Track) to Framework in March 2018. And that Mobile would be in June. Also you do not need Payroll just to do entries for Job cost. It is supposed to work with either or both. Of course the say O365 integration and Budgeting available in the same timeline. Have not seen any concrete documentation on any of it.

Also, when WO is in the framework (in Sept, y'all!), TimeTrack is supposed to integrate with it, as well.
