Has anyone seen this - an error in Aatrix Updater when updating Sage100 2014 premium (su7 with IRD) for 2015 1099s. Windows 7, I turned off uac (just to be sure) I also uninstalled and re-installed aatrix. Thanks and sorry if I missed this in my search before posting.

renaming the eFilingReporting folder solves a lot of weird ills...

We are having the same issue with a client. Tried renaming the eFilingReporting folder and that didn't resolve the problem for us. Open for other suggestions!

Finally - they suggested Windows updates to .Net and for Visual Studio 2005 Redistributable. I'll post back after IT does this and I try it again.

FWIW, I had to download the update from the website rather than do Automatic update. Then I had to still run automatic update afterward for it to acknowledge updates were installed.

The update from the website works fine, it's when it does the automatic update that it errors out. Thanks for the suggestion.

Jeff - I have to wait on IT to do my updates since my client is on a Terminal server. Have you looked at the Windows updates that I mentioned? Per Sage - install all available .net (3.5 and 4.5) and Microsoft Visual C++ updates thru Windows updates.

Jeff, I am getting this error at a client when selecting Automatic Update and when manually download. Have opened a case with Sage about it. Tried it on another workstation with same result. Sage 100 2014 Advanced, PU7, installed IRD. Windows 8. Turned off UAC, logged in as administrator, confirmed appropriate links allowed in Internet Explorer, manually downloaded the update from https://www.aatrix.com/partners/sage100/, right click on the downloaded update file (mas90.exe), goes through the first Next button, then the Runtime Error window comes up.

Welcome to ""the club"" - maybe we should print up some shirts ""I (almost) survived Aatrix Jan 2016"" - we are still waiting for Sage/Aatrix on this.

Just got off phone with Sage Support. They are insistent the issue is caused by permissions, either at the Windows level or at the firewall. The Aatrix updater is trying to deliver the forms to the workstation and is being blocked. Was told that the updater will still connect with the Aatrix server when manually running the updater. The installation I am having trouble with has AP but not PR. Also, this is the first time installing Aatrix on this workstation. They used a different workstation last year, which is no longer available.

I just got a customer's Aatrix install to be successful by having their IT guy give this user local admin rights (she logs onto a terminal server). FINALLY successful!!!

I think there are multiple issues going on - our windows login has always been a local administrator - we can install and un-install aatrix, windows components etc. Our issue is no closer to being solved, and I think this is an Aatrix issue, perhaps related to recent windows updates or something, as this same PC and same user account worked a year ago to do the 2014 1099 updates...

Was able to successfully update aatrix. Still received error when logged in as domain administrator. Uninstalled aatrix, restarted workstation, removed aatrix files/folders/temp files, renamed the eFiling and Reporting Histories folders (multiple companies) and added a blank folder called Histories, installed aatrix from the workstation installer, logged into Sage 100 and selected the Activate button in AP 1099 eFiling and Reporting, manually ran the updater (MAS90.exe), logged into Sage 100, still got prompt about updating when went into 1099 eFiling and Reporting so selected the Automatic Update which successfully completed, went through the test drive which worked. Deleted the blank Histories folder and renamed the backup folder back to Histories. Yes, lots of steps, but it worked. Hope everyone else finds their solution! I agree with Jeff, seems there are multiple issues/causes.

Jeff - after multiple calls to Sage, I finally got an Aatrix person to call me. She fixed it in 5 minutes. The server Sonic Firewall was blocking encrypted zip files. IT person was not happy about opening it up, but as soon as he did - it worked fine.
