Has anyone seen issues with updating IM Adjustment Transactions, where the transaction, cost detail, and GL files are all fine, but the quantity in IM_ItemWarehouse remains unchanged? Client on MAS 200 Advanced v4.40 SP10. Previously on SP4. We have installed SP10, and rebuilt all files, but issue continues on about 1-2% of transactions. Multiple item codes.

I'm wondering if you're dealing with the same bug that Mark Kotyla is since it's a 4.4 install as well. You may want to look at that.

Is it always adjustments and never any other type of transactions? What's the valuation method? Any modification?

@Roberta - it's average cost, and yes the only reported issue is with IM adjustments. No mods. FYI valuation report is fine, GL is fine, etc. It is only the item warehouse qty that remains unchanged after update.

Strike that - it's FIFO.

Any pattern as to negative or positive transactions or only specific items? Can you duplicate it?

By the way, just want to make sure you know there is a utility to balance the two files - File/Run/*utl/Balance Inventory Quantity and Cost

I have been trying to diagnose a pattern, but no luck. We have used the utility to correct prior issues, but the problem continues.

Makes you wonder if there is/was some issue that most people just don't notice because they don't enter that many adjustments. Whenever there is a utiltity to correct something, you know it is because there are problems that require the need for it. It used to be IMZBL1 so there has always been one! Sage will usually ask all the questions I did and if you can't provide a pattern or recreate it - good luck! At this point they would tell you to upgrade.

I would run the embedded IO replacement script... Fie / Run / Syzcon, at prompt type o=new(""sy_activation_bus"",%sys_ss) print o'activate(""y/y"",""xxx"") where y/y = module code and xxx =company code.. It doesn't hurt and you never know.. :)
