Has anyone seen issues with forms and reports printing garbled text at all, especially after an upgrade? I have a client on Advanced 5.10.4 where all users connect in via a Terminal Services published app. IT has refused to give me any help with updating the printer drivers or disabling printer redirection as ways to troubleshoot, and the client is backing him, saying that it wasn't a problem before the upgrade. You know how it goes. It appears to be just the users with an HP P2035 local printer, but there are other users having other problems printing as well. But if I can focus just on the garbled text for now, maybe the resolution will help fix the other problems. The reports and forms preview fine but print badly, and we can print to a newly-installed CutePDF printer just fine. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks!

Have you tried to turn off the specified printer in Crystal? (File > Page Setup > checkbox ""No Printer"")

Ran into the same issue with published apps on a customer. It was related to drivers being used. I think the redirected printers also caused part of the issue. They had to clean up how the printers were setup. I also think they ended up replacing the printer since they had such a hard time to get the right driver. I was able to show it working on another printer that used a different driver. Do they still have the issue when they use the desktop?

I think making sure printer drivers match or using a universal printer driver is the first step in troubleshooting. I have no idea why an IT person would not assist.

I've run into these types of situations too. It's as if we become the local complaint department for Sage.
