Has anyone run into this before? v2013 standard on 2003 server. Sales Orders are disappearing and qty's are being committed. No AV, no internet on the MAS server. Also, IT has found several instances of msiexe running. Some users are experiencing issues connecting to MAS, once they kill the msiexe task, they can log in.

It's probably msiexec, not msiexe. Msiexec is an installation routine used by anything with a Windows installer (.msi file). This includes Windows Updates, commercial packages, etc. Sounds like something else is going on with that server. There are also malware packages that name themselves msiexec or similar names like msiexe. I would run MalwareBytes against it just to be sure.

Thank you- that was a typo, it is msiexec that is running. And, they are using terminal services. Opened a case with Sage and all they could offer was Disk Cleanup, check windows error log, and look at DEP settings. All users are locked up and this point and they are now having to reboot the server. What a mess. Error log shows VMWARE refresh failed, then Application Hang referencing pvxwin32.exe. IT has just turned off DEP, so we will see how it acts after the reboot. Disk Cleanup will be a weekend project for IT.
