Sage 100

Has anyone received this Payroll Tax Table Update (TTU) notice? Who do I have to bribe at SAGE to receive this kind of notice BEFORE my clients get them. Would be NICE to know about the notice when the client calls and asks for help with installing the TTU update.

It appears to only affect ID, IL and MD. I got several of those emails (from clients) today, too.

I just got my first email from a customer as well. The confusing part to me is the first line where it says ""Important updates to tax calculations are required for federal taxes...

I recieved notificaton from one of my clients today too! Nothing from Sage though! NICE!

@GeneUlrich Right and when the client read that to me I thought....Oh everyone will need to install this, but based on what @BethBowers points out only ID, IL and MD. Again it sure would improve my ""SAGE Experience"" if I received this notice BEFORE the clients did.

I guess the simplest answer is to sell yourself a one user license of MAS with the PR module. You will win twice - The first being you will now receive these notices before the lowly reseller and second, you will be one license sale closer to your tier requirements.

@JeffSchwenk That's a great idea, except I'm even lower than a reseller... I'm the lowest of the low... a 25-year Certified Consultant. Any resellers out there need a sale this month to make tier?

@JeffSchwenk I have some grey hair and much older than 25. In fact in the 25 years that I have been supporting Sage products, I think my recent grey hair is due to SAGE!

Really aggravating. Got a couple of emails from clients as well.

The TTU is available for download. The release notes show it only makes changes to the three states.

Idea: New alerts for customers/partners for these types of events..

Wait, don't we all spend the first few hours of our day scouring Sage's websites to find out what's new today? Apparently that is what we are supposed to do each morning! SHEESH!

What's the best way for the group to push this info out? I'm happy to coordinate some type of alert system either via group email or similar which would summarize top issues and perhaps send them out each day. Or is that overkill. I'm trying to think of what's helpful for people who are not monitoring Socialcast all day.

What we might be able to do is send a broadcast message from Socialcast which I think generates an email to everyone's inbox. I do not want to spam people with email - so I'd look to see if the group felt there was a need for more group broadcasts (not more than one per day).

I'm ok with broadcasts from the group; my Outlook automatically all 90 Minds traffic to a folder highlighted for review. I am interested also in understanding the nuts and bolts of how some of this automation gets setup. Some of it could be relevant to efforts between my website and our customers. Same with some other elements of the cloud methodology you have so creatively adopted. if there are others also interested, maybe we could organize a low-impact (on you) way to disseminate some of this knowledge?

I haven't seen boo about this from Sage.

We have to make our own notification - clearly the message lately from Sage to partners is two words (and they are NOT Happy Birthday) ...

And is the abbreviation F.U.? ...as in First Users of course...right?

@JerryNorman It's all essentially compiled by reading Socialcast and talking to others. What I'm really looking for is a high value way to provide information to people who may not login to Socialcast every day but still want to get more urgent news. This could potentially be something you sign up people in your office for. These folks may not be interested in participating in Socialcast but would like bulletins and important updates. There's not a way to get that automatically via Socialcast. In general if you blog it - say create a web site that has daily updates only -- you can create an RSS feed and send that to MailChimp which in turn will auto-create an email any time there is new RSS content. I do this now for my web newsletter.

What we might be able to do is create a category on 90minds.com -- something like ""daily news"" and we could use a plugin to capture that category and create an RSS only from that. Ultimately I think it's easier to use a standalone because I kinow @MarkChinsky uses the RSS from 90 Minds and I'm not sure we want our customers reading daily info about Sage.

Anyone else having trouble downloading this latest TTU? Per my previous post (https://90minds-com.socialcast.com/messages/11735233), there seems to be issues with some of these Sage downloads dependent on the URL.

Strange, download issue seems to be specific to my computer.
