Has anyone quoted an F9 upgrade from Infor recently? I dread dealing with this group because it tends to be time consuming to get correct info from them. Here's why my Sage customer was quoted. They own F9 though I do not think more than a single user. I am pretty sure Infor has no records of what Sage customers own. Is there upgrade pricing for existing users? This looks like a new user price. Plus they recommended 3 days of training which shouldn't be needed for a company already using F9. Here's the quote: The pricing for 3 users would be as follows: F9 Administrator $1800 F9 Report Writers (3) $450 * 3 = $1350 =$3150 + 20% maintenance Implementation would be 3 5 days ($1500/day) and this would be based on the following: In regards to integration to Sage MAS 200 4.5 SQL, we will just need to know a couple of things. One is that will need to understand the underlying technology (SQL Server, Oracle, etc). Secondly, we will have to know the GL table structure for F9 Pro integration feasibility. Usually, the tables of importance are: Chart of accounts table (sometimes called accounts master table) Summary balance (actual) table (sometimes called transaction header table) Budget data table (if budget data is stored separate from summary table) Detailed transactions table

Infor may not know if they already own F9 or not. You may want to provide them the customer's old Sage customer number.

I'm headed out on a field trip with my daughter but can double check the pricing when I get back.

We negotiated upgrade deals for our clients in August when we encountered the same situation. It may be somewhat different, because we had 5 client installations and multiple users for each. Infor initially told us that there was no upgrade pricing when going to Version 5, which is what is required for using Excel 2007 and above. At first the front line salesperson offered 10% off on pricing for new product. When he said he had no choice, we escalated to the VP of Sales. This resulted in true upgrade pricing, which was as follows (list prices): First Report Writer - $675/Maint. $135 Additional Report Writers (each) - $135/Maint. $27 Our salesperson contact is Jeremy Myers: 604-699-3339, jeremy.myers@infor.com VP Sales is Wissam Barakat: 604-699-3352, wissam.barakat@infor.com Contact Jeremy and tell him that we are colleagues in the 90Minds Oasis group and that you want the special Hutchinson and Bloodgood upgrade pricing. I just e-mailed Jeremy and told him you may be contacting him. Although he may only be for my region, I asked him to coordinate appropriately.

We are having a similar issue. Our client was off Maintenance ( no fault of theirs) for 18 months . Infor initially said to reinstate they had to repurchase product. At a cost of around $3500 for the 5 user license. Obviously that was unacceptable so they are process of requoting. We are waiting or the reinstatement quote.

Since we're discussing pricing, I review all Sage maintenance renewals and compare the amount to what the client paid last year. My clientcare rep told me that they will adjust this so the amount is no more than 25% higher than the previous year for these new calculations. I just found one that was quoted at 36.25% higher, so I asked for this to be adjusted down. As with anything, if you don't ask, you won't get it. Our prospects certainly are not shy about asking for discounts.

I've attached the price list we've been using with Infor. Although it's labeled 2010 it matches the prices we've been quoted recently. The prices you were quoted seem too high.

Thank you everyone - I've suggested that the customer rethink whether they want to continue using F9 or whether a cheaper alternative might exist. I think they may be able to design something via ODBC to either Excel or Access. Which is too bad because if Infor was reasonable -- say $ 995 and no salesman BS I'd probably push for them to stay with F9.

I recently upgraded a SAGE ERP 100 Standard client to version 4.50 PU4. They are using F9 version 4.5 for MAS 90 & 200, F9.EXE - Version 4.5.1.0 and F9.XLL - Version 4.51.6. The CFO has not reported any problems since the August upgrade. I am not sure of the version of Excel that is being used. Attached is a document that supports F9v4.x with Excel 2007 / 2010
