Has anyone put together a list of the 2018 Payroll Tax Rule definitions since Sage will not release them? Some are self explanatory and some are not. I would like to know the tax flag equivalency to the legacy version. Sage support has created a KB 109011 to keep track of this request.

This was brought up at MOTM 2018. As I recall the response was a deer in the headlight eyeball roll saying that there were MANY codes that changed constantly and how would we ever keep up with that??? Or something to that effect.

I'm going to reach out to Sage and see what we can get addressed on this topic.

A real cloud product would have a web page set up in a CMS so that someone on the tax table team could easily update it as they update the calculations. And that tax calc engine is used by multiple Sage products, not just Sage 100.

I was taken aback by the lack of a KB for these items. My v2018 PR set up experience is still very limited but there are many tax codes to choose from now when in the past it was a yes/no question on whether it was taxable. SURELY, the beta folks brought this up during their testing and we still don't have good documentation.

I'm not surprised, agree that the KB is light on information. The cert's for this year were heavy on PR set up, options, do's and don'ts but not a lot of practical technical, mostly PowerPoint bullets, little of actual screens. To be expected PR 2.0 was likely in beta when the training materials were designed and recorded. PR 2.0 is a ""connected cloud"" product; Sage would be wise to put their best foot forward and serve their marketing message, partners and customers. What a great chance they'll have for that when they meet with our group.

Has anyone found the correct Tax Rule for Fed W/H, no FICA/Medicare?
