Has anyone made contact with Barbara Goldstein regarding her upgrade checklist? I'm on an email message where she inquired but I'm not sure whether a reply was ever made to Barbara because it may have been just via reply vs reply-all.
@MoiraGoggin
Possibly center the session around the checklist and have it be a key takeaway. Could also add in use of DropBox to stage files (I would be happy to give a 5 minute overview of why I love doing this), Basecamp for project tracking (could do same 5 minutes).
@JimWoodhead could possibly do a 10 minute on how to move paperless office when the path changes and you don't/can't re-migrate system files.
DSD will be there, could talk about the process for getting extended solutions updated
I'm at the point where I am less concerned about technical issues and more concerned about (a) saving time on the quoting (there's a huge tendency for people to sit on the quotes), (b) What type of options sell on an upgrade quote (just did one where I offered an annual support agreement for far less - but only if bought with upgrade - because my experience is some of these upgrades have questions for six months so if I'm going to be covering those questions as part of my upgrade might as well see if I can get them onto a plan) and (c) How to manage the DIY crowd who appears suddenly on email and ""wants a price"".
The mechanics of these upgrades seem a lot easier because 90 Minds is such a great ""safety net"". It's the part about convincing the customer to upgrade, pricing it, quoting it that are becoming more of a hassle.
