First, if the cpq will output to an excel file, then it could be imported. It's a start. But setting up the process of any CPQ is a major effort, and requires a lot of internal discipline. I suspect that the share of Sage 100 users who have that mindset is smaller than many other ERPs.

@JerryNorman I'm not sure what a CPQ file looks like but I know I've had success in converting XMLs to CSV for a connectwise to ""Sage Integration"". is it possible to read a CPQ with Excel? for the XML it took quite a bit of work to load a style sheet, convert, change the encoding ect.

CPQ"" is a type of application, not a file standard. Configure Price Quote. More than a few specific vendors, and I'm sure all have different file output formats. I suspect SF's outputs reasonably generically since it would go to any number of ERPs. That said, the main appeal to CPQ is to generate the quote with proper pricing. Depending on the firm, they might have only 1 sell in 10 quotes, so integration isn't that big a deal as long as the product and pricing don't change too much.

I think Salesforce offers an application which does the configure price quote

Yes. It used to be a couple 3rd parties, but a couple years ago SF bought one of them and completely integrated it. So the CPQ app is an option on the SF price list. The ""integration"" I was talking about is with an accounting app.
