I give them the SPM and advise they purchase anything outside at their own risk. In 9 out of 10 cases customers ask all sorts of questions about what's supported, then they wait 1+ years. When possible I try to give them a link to the Sage KB with the SPM so they can download the latest SPM every time the urge strikes to ask me what's supported.
Sage doesn't make this easy as they lump all the SPM onto one page and you can't hot-link to the exact version you want to share. So you wind up telling the customer not to forget to download version x or flavor y. Which naturally the customer doesn't remember.
