Has anyone had experience with a ""TROY/HP"" Check printer and Sage 100 (2017) that is designed to use a specific MICR font (Troy MICR E13B). This printer ""blocks"" other MICR fonts other than it's own. And this font has a strange property that when you preview it, it draws a black box around each character, that the printer removes when printing (Yikes). It works fine from wordpad, but from crystal reports, even if I click ""Print"", it draws the box around the characters when it prints to the printer, as if it was being previewed first (which it is not). I am descending into finger pointing hell, where Troy will point to crystal reports because it works in wordpad, and crystal would say ""it works on a different printer with a different font, so it has do to with this printer/font combo, both are from Troy"". If anyone has solved this, please let me know... otherwise I will have to do a step-by-step (inch-by-inch) escalation at Troy. TIA

This may help, it has some info on TrueType font selection in the Crystal Report I'm not sure it arrived at resolution, but the info. may spark an idea. https://archive.sap.com/discussions/thread/2153768

@JeffFiddelman, do you recall how you made out with this issue? We have an HP Laser Jet Enterprise M806 printer that just won't print the MICR properly (it's blank or shows little squares, depending on the variables/config), but it previews to screen fine. - MICR prints fine to other printers. - Issue occurs for multiple users/computers. - Current/old system prints MICR fine to the printer. - We've tried different printer drivers, but no help. - Tried different MICR font, but no help. - Remote access / Remote/Terminal Server not in play. - Hesitant on resetting printer factory settings in case that breaks the current MICR printing from current system. - Leaning toward simply recommending they not print MICR to that printer.

If this is a ""TROY"" printer (ie - has the Troy firmware, fonts, etc.) then it blocks MICR for security purposes... We needed to download, install and configure ""TROY PORT MONITOR"" which allows font substitution, to get the MICR to print from Sage 100 Hope this helps.

Thanks! I think ""Troy"" may in fact have a hand in this: https://www.troygroup.com/products/printers/m806-laserjet.html
