Has anyone found a way to embed item images on each line on a sales Order or Purchase order with Crystal reports?

I know I wanted to do this several years ago and saw in a later crystal the functionality existed. Let me look.

I just tested and this worked. I would setup a UDF in the work file instead of linking CI_Item but... it worked. The only issue I have not solved is if an image file name is not in CI_Item the default item appears. Not sure how I would fix this (probably put a ""clear"" image as the placeholder described in this article. http://www.cogniza.com/wordpress/2010/03/15/crystal-reports-dynamic-images/

We did something similar with a signature in the footer of the Sales Order Invoice. Same principle may apply to line detail. The signature was saved as a .jpg file in a set folder and the crystal report looks for the filename that is dynamic to the file ID. if there is no signature on file for the invoice it is blank. XKZero provided the help for us on this one.

@alanniergarth - I am assuming you are referring to some type of signature obtained during invoice generation - like a customer signature for the credit card authorization??
