Sage 100

Has anyone ever seen the Source Journal register number just not increment after posting transactions? Client is using Sage 100 Standard 2016 PU3. After posting Payroll and posting the DTR, the source journal shows up, but the next number is the same as the one that was just posted. They are having to manually adjust the number series every time. I don't see anything related in the KB.

What does the record look like in DFDM and any chance there is a problem with the permissions on the file (think permissions would throw an error)? Just thoughts. Have not run into that one before.

The DFDM record looks normal. No errors on posting either. Error happens on the subsequent post when the register number has already been used.

Are the journals set to Never Reset in GL Options? Shot in the dark, but if set to Reset at Year End, maybe you're colliding with previous years journal numbers especially in payroll where they are probably getting the same journal as last year.
