Has anyone ever seen a Crystal report not display its prompts when run from a workstation, but will when run from the server?

Any workstation or a certain workstation? What version of Crystal? Have you tried uninstalling the client? 90 or 200?

Hmmm. I don't think i have, but I wonder if you've got the save data with report option checked and for some reason on the workstation it's not recognizing a need to re-query the database.

Still working on Jeff's questions, but I can verify I didn't check the Save Data With Report, at least. This is for another reseller and I don't have access to the client, so I have a wait to get other details.

Oh, wait, I know it's MAS 4.3.x so it would be Crystal 10.

I think the save data with report is a good possibiilty now that you mention it.

OK, more detail. You get the prompt when you run it from Crystal, you don't get the prompt when it's on the Menu, and it doesn't matter if it's on the server or the workstation. Menu = No Prompt.

I it a customized standard report or is it total custom report. I'm thinking somewhere in the past, you couldn't use your own parameters in the record selection because MAS would programattically set that and any thing you had in there would be ignored.

Total custom , on the custom menu - and by the way, using the Select Group usually will work on those customized standard reports when it ignores the Select Record.

It is NOT selected

So does it bring up ANY data? Is it everything with no selection criteria? What are the parameters for?

It just hangs - never does the prompt or goes beyond that
