Has anyone compared the speed of financial reports using FRx vs Sage Intelligence? Client is saying Sage 2018 Premium with Sage Intelligence is slower than using FRx with Sage 2015 Standard.

Um, I thought SI was ALWAYS slower than FRx? Number two complaint (after ease of use). But then they pipe down after showing them how to write a report for AP Vendor History without telling them they can do the same thing in a New York minute with Excel Queries.....

Probably is slower than FRx. Sage Intelligence is affected by (not a complete list) 1. 32-bit vs 64-bit Excel 2. Memory at _workstation_ 3. Data setup, i.e, graphic join is slower than a SQL join, number of files joined 4. Number of sheets per workbook 5. Number calculations per workbook 6. Number of consolidations ( # companies)

Thank you @JeffSchwenk and @MoiraGoggin We have a client complaining... of course they have tons of tabs, massive reporting tree. We did have them install 64-bit Excel and add RAM to the workstation.

As an aside, I used to also see this with F9. The product worked great when the calculations were relatively small. As soon as you get to the multiple workbooks situations then not only were people debugging their spreadsheet logic they also found the data speed slowed quite a bit.
