Has anyone come up with a procedure for notifying end users of their first-year payroll subscription? I'm finding this problematic to track as customers who don't go with Sage 100c send us the maintenance then conveniently ""forget"" about the payroll portion unless we pester them endlessly. There's no way I've found to determine whether the EU actually sent the form to Sage for payroll since Sage seems to be working in arrears and lots of stuff goes in late.

Just had my first confused end user who said, ""yes, we just sent you the check for the payroll subscription"". This is despite my completing the subscription form, the Sage invoice and sending it to them over 30 days ago with instructions that it must be sent to Sage directly. This whole process is so confusing and poorly thought out.

Update: End user actually sent the check to Sage. I wonder how many years it will take Sage to unravel this.

There's nothing convenient about payroll being invoiced separately.

I have already come across a client who renewed their annual maintenance and the payroll subscription never was. Just happened to check keys because we were talking about an upgrade and noticed it was not there. She scrambled to get it paid. There should be some red flags on these accounts.

First we were told ""hands off - Sage will reach out"". Then once it was clear that Sage had given this process zero thought we heard ""oh, we don't reach out to your customers"". Such a sad situation.

Sad situation is that the option for the reseller to be in the payment loop. I know many resellers don't like to be in that loop but my users appreciate that little service.
