Has anyone been involved with helping a company switch from SAGE 100 STD Payroll module to SAGE (aka:Abra) HRMS? The Sage Professional Services Group senior Project Manager is requesting an export of what looks like Payroll Perpetual Check History data into several individual Excel worksheet files. Has anyone worked with this group before: SAGE Professional Services Group? Who are they? @ShawnSlavin ?

I haven't worked with the Sage Professional Services Group, but I believe this is the group that will be soliciting our customers as soon as they squeeze the last of our product margins down to $0.

Aren't they the internal sage professional department that is supposed to keep the money in sage's pocket?? Funny that they don't know how to do something this simple.

@MichaelMcDonald we have not worked with PSG as they essentially compete with us. When Sage sells an HRMS deal direct, these are the folks who do the consulting work. I guess what I am saying is @DougHiggs, bingo, they compete with their re-seller community for work. PSG is asking for the Perpetual Check History file to get check details. I suspect they will reconcile the detail with the summary buckets maintained in the Payroll module. This way they can ensure they have the MTD, QTD, and YTD buckets balanced by employee. They also need the info so the system can properly balance ACA reporting at end if the year. Regarding @JeffSchwenk question regarding if they know how to pull the data, I'm sure their SOW called for the client to populate spreadsheet templates which PSG provides for loading balances and history. We provide the same starting point for our fixed fee SOW's. We also offer additional services to assist with extracting and transforming their data for import as well but these are additional services beyond a standard SOW. Look on the bright side, at least your getting SOME professional services out of the transition from the customer.

SPG is basically Sage. Since I am not an HRMS reseller, I referred one client to them to have them do the implementation. To make a long story short, client was so upset with SPG they almost got rid of Sage 100 and everything else SAGE. I was able to salvage Sage 100 and keep the client but HRMS never got implemented.

Thanks for the feedback everyone. I introduced SAGE HRMS to the client as they were looking at other HRMS systems. I was planning to refer them to a SAGE HRMS reseller, if they showed ""real"" interest. This client has always considered SAGE 100 as a ""DIY"" project for upgrades and new module implementations. They must have contacted SAGE direct and here we are. I wonder how much SAGE PSG quoted for training and implementation of SAGE HRMS?

We are also HRMS certified. We had one experience with HRMS PSG, and it that group completely, I mean completely, screwed the pooch. Essentially, they are always right and the customer is always at fault when something goes wrong.
