Has anyone been able to register for Summit yet?

I did a little while ago. I would suggest doing it right away so you can book the hotel.. The hotel rooms are going fast.

Well, crap, I can't get it to take my email address (which is the one I use for everything Sage...). I already made hotel reservations at the Luxor - I don't mind a little walking and the rate was incredible. Ok, a LOT of walking. Got a better rate than Sage was offering there.

I registered too. I went Luxor too. Did you get registered Beth?

What is the rate everyone is getting. Aren't we supposed to get a promo code to get a discounted rate that we signed up for a couple weeks back?

  • 6.  RE: Has anyone been able to register for Summit yet?

    Posted 04-08-2014 19:12
Yeah Jeff, if you signed up you got an email with the code. It's PREPART. $399

    It worked for me today.

This process is sooooo screwed up. There was an early bird sign up a couple weeks back. I sighed up but never got an e-mail. Said we would hear something in the near future. Never have!!!

@BrettLyder - NOT working for me now......

Ah, that's not cool. We got follow-up emails almost immediately after signing up for the discount a few weeks ago. They just sent us that code and said use it when registration opens.

When I registered (and the issue was that it had filled in my name and address in the Returning area, so even though I was clicking on the top Sign Up area, it was screwing things up - had to clear out the bottom), I did NOT have to use that promo code and I still got the $399 rate. (I did do the early bird signup.)

If you are staying at the Luxor - the Sage rates are for the tower only. If you want to stay in the pyramid (which I did - I want to ride the angled elevators, dammit!) - sign up on Luxor's web site and sign up for mlife (MGM's player's club) and they will send you deals which are better than the Sage tower rates.

Well, a new day. It appears the PREPART code is working now. And it also appears that you HAVE to have preregistered as my name popped up on the following screen. I exited without completing the registration. Figured my first cup of coffee was more important.

Update: Summit site back to showing the coming soon screen as of 9:07 ET 4/9/14

    http://www.sagesummit.com/ allows registration for me.

As of 9:07 ET when I checked it was showing the coming soon sign in. It now appears to be showing the regular registration.

I was able to register yesterday w/o any problems.

Luxor is showing $45/night for 2 queens - am I reading the map right and is this right next to Mandalay?

Yes, you are. It is the next hotel over. That's where we're staying.

Sage is a little cheaper on the mandatory resort fee, the rates are a bit higher Fri/Sat. Does not seem like a huge cost savings booking direct vs Sage.

We went through Sage. @BethBowers indicated that they would be Luxor Tower rooms instead of the pyramid and she says she got a slightly lower rate by signing up with their rewards program. The nightly rate was so reasonable I didn't much care.

  • 22.  RE: Has anyone been able to register for Summit yet?

    Posted 04-09-2014 07:07
My reason for booking direct with Luxor is that I wanted to be in the pyramid, not the towers. I can stay in towers anywhere. If I'm gonna stay in some kitschy hotel in Vegas, I'm gonna go all out. :-) Although looking at the pics of the Excalibur, I might have to draw the line there.

I registered in on Sunday and out on Friday - most of the less expensive rooms were sold out except for Luxor.

I notice that the Sage Summit enrollment indicates "" Includes access to all scheduled events"". Does this mean hot breakfast and lunch ? Has anyone had this conversation with Sage about Summit -- ie - is it including meals?

Nothing to base this on but an educated guess, for as cheap as $99 for early customers and $399 for early partners...no way they're feeding us breakfast and lunch.

  • 27.  RE: Has anyone been able to register for Summit yet?

    Posted 04-09-2014 12:30
Excalibur is a haul through the Luxor and then the Mandalay because the convention center is on the way far side of the Mandalay. Luxor is probably still well over a mile hike... Not registered yetm but I get 6 registrations with the booth. Woo Hoo. I guess some of my EBMs will get a free pass.

@BrettLyder I think we will get lunch because they won't want to loose us to the casino lol. Dinner maybe on Tuesday and Thursday ???.

Remember when we used to eat like kings and queens? We'll be lucky to get a bottle of water and a cold cut sandwich.

I am not sure that the food and drink won't be better this year. Remember this is a customer oriented conference!

  • 31.  RE: Has anyone been able to register for Summit yet?

Lunch & breakfast will be included.

  • 32.  RE: Has anyone been able to register for Summit yet?

Alright, I'll go ahead and eat my words, now then. That way i'll have room for breakfast and lunch once Summit rolls around.

  • 33.  RE: Has anyone been able to register for Summit yet?

    Posted 04-10-2014 07:46
@BrettLyder all we've known up until this point is that Summit was changing so we've been left with our imagination to fill the voids of the unknown.

  • 34.  RE: Has anyone been able to register for Summit yet?

    Posted 04-10-2014 07:46
Sage has tricked the partners into thinking that Sage Summit is a customer and partner event. In reality, what they've done is dissolve the partner conference and are allowing partners to continue to attend this customer conference.

I know it @RobertWood and that's a SCARY place, man!

  • 36.  RE: Has anyone been able to register for Summit yet?

    Posted 04-10-2014 07:49
@RobertWood - Yesterday I was thinking the EXACT same thing.

  • 37.  RE: Has anyone been able to register for Summit yet?

    Posted 04-10-2014 08:08
Sage has clearly moved from a partner centric model in many ways and this is just another example. It is our job to figure out how to leverage what Sage is doing to provide value to our customers. For example, helping your partners navigate the exhibitors to help them understand which add-on products are stable, reliable and keep up-to date with current versions vs. those that are buggy is a value added activity that Sage will never provide.

    Posted 04-10-2014 08:09
@RobertWood your second post beat my reply, I didn't mean that Summit being primarily a customer conference now, with partners thrown it too, was a SCARY place...hmmm, or did I?

Our cheese has moved and we keep going back to the same place to get more and it's just not there. That's a big part of the value of 90 Minds and of having our own event 1-2 a year. MotM had a lot of the feel of my first Sage conference, Visions 2002.

@BrettLyder moving from the focus of State of the Art/Sage/Best/Sage to becoming more and more of an after thought is a scary place to be regardless of the framing.

Here's the screen shot of the email I received which noted me signing up for the discount several weeks ago. Got this one just before the new Sponsor Reg email
