Has anyone already done the programming needed to combine separate MAS companies?

Bernie just completed a consolidation for one of our clients recently. He would have all the details for you Beth.

It depends on how much functionality you need. You can combine separate companies with an MS Access database without having to install MS Access. No programming involved.

They don't just want reporting, they want them to actually just be the same company in MAS. Thanks, Kevin - will look for Bernie's info.

I did one a couple years back. Basically used VI to add records into the receiving company. Both were distribution companies. We set up departments in the GL and imported the history as JE's Separate warehouse for the merged company. Not hard to to at all.

I worked on one this year; we mostly just directed the customer on what to do versus actually doing much ourselves.

I did this for a client a couple of years ago, but it was on an older version and I just wondered if anyone had it up-to-date. Last client did not have any dupe customers or vendors, but previously on 3.71 I had to deal with that.

We have a enhancement that automatically does it for the GL.. but it sounds like your are looking for a one time thing.
