General Consultant Discussion

Happy Monday all! I have a customer requesting information on a product that integrates with Sage 100 that has job scheduling and tracking, contract tracking and budget tracking. Here's the exact request: We are wondering if there is a program thru Sage that has job scheduling that will show a critical path of a job. Also, if we can input contracts it will give us a monthly budget over the entire job. We have used SureTrack in the past and just reaching out to see if there is something else that can be ingrated with Sage. Does anybody have an suggestions for good 3rd party products? I'll be looking into JC Scan, but would like to have more options than just the one. TIA!

They should take a hard look at JobOps.

I would also look at TimeLinx, which integrates with Sage CRM. It is more appropriate for professional services, such as consulting, and includes Gantt charts. If the requirement involves lots of parts and assemblies, then JobOps is definitely appropriate.

They forgot to add the famous customer PS -- "" we do not want to have to do any additional work, no time or activity tracking and we are not looking to spend money on any type of scanners"". PSS ""I'm sure everyone has this request. We can't be the only ones!!

PPPS - ""must be easy enough for spouse to continue running and not ever require physical counts or additional inventory manager position"".

Of course, if your customer is a contractor/subcontractor, perhaps Sage 100 is not a good solution. I am not particularly excited about the Sage CRE offerings (100 and 300), but have been reviewing Foundation Software for one of our CPA clients, and have been very impressed at its feature set. It now has a cloud option and full mobile capability.
