  • 1.  Hanging pvxwin2.exe tasks after closing Sage 100

    Sage 100 Standard with Century credit card processing just upgraded from 2016 to 2021.  All users are having stranded pvxwin32.exe tasks after closing Sage 100, which prevent it from being launched again without killing the tasks or rebooting.

    Any ideas on the cause/fix for this (other than using task manager to kill them)?

    Are they using Kaspersky AV by any chance?  I had a similar issue this week and temporarily disabling Kaspersky solved it.  I left the permanent solution up to IT to solve after sending them the exclusions for the 20th time.

    Not using Kapersky, but I am having hem test turning off their AV temporarily.

    I wonder if Sage Exchange is part of the hang, since it wasn't happening when Daniel first tested?
