Had lunch with Russ Graff this afternoon. He shared a few more details around the ""free"" version of Sage Inventory Advisor set to roll out sometime around June.
If you hadn't heard - Sage plans to bundle a free version of Sage Inventory Advisor. This will be a somewhat scaled back version of SIA as described below:
- Available to Sage 100c users on Gold or Platinum maintenance only
- The end user will subscribe by calling to activate (at not cost)
- Missing features - (a) No Bill of Materials and (b) No central warehouse. I'm guessing there will be others but those are what Russ told me
- Russ does not think a move from the ""free"" to paid will require any type reinstallation and that Netstock will just chang something server side
- The name of the Sage Intelligence free version will be Sage Intelligence Basics
This is a slight inducement for a customer to take 100c on either Gold or Platinum. Personally I think I'd recommend to a 100 customer that they pay the SIA fee first and if they think they can fit into the Basics then contemplate a 100c license change.
