Had a prospect today express a desire to have a scale checking the weight as items are packed, like a grocery store checkout, to make sure what is scanned is actually packed. (Yes, I know, there are companies with tons of money who can't make this work reliably.) Has anyone done this with Sage 100?

So comparing the UPS scale isn't close enough for government work. Would you also want a computer voice to say ""please place the item in the bag""? What is the value of the item? High Theft rate? Just seems a bit inefficient unless there is a big problem...

What kind of quantities and weights are we talking about, @PhilMcIntosh? @NicholasWebb?

It is a matter of providing a check that not only was the item scanned but that it made it into the box, and managerial recognition that in south Georgia the school systems they are selling to only exist to play football on Friday night...

If Georgia, then it also applies to Alabama, Texas and Oklahoma. So there is a market.
